Buy Shares in The Cotherstone Old Chapel Project

Our share offer is open-ended, so anyone can buy shares in the Old Chapel Community Benefit Society at anytime. Investing in the project helps us to continue to improve the Old Chapel, and build our reserves in order to protect the long-term sustainability of the project.

As well as helping us, buying shares gives you a say in how the Old Chapel is run, through having a vote at any Members' Meetings, taking in part in Shareholder surveys, or even standing for the Management Committee to have more direct influence.

To buy shares, please download the application form, and return it via email to [email protected] or drop it off at the Chapel, addressed to The Treasurer. If you would like a paper copy of the form, drop us an email with your name and address and we'll get one to you.

Shares are £10 each, and there is no minimum purchase (the maximum is £10,000!). Please note that the Society works on a one-shareholder one-vote system, so you have the same say whether you buy 1 or 1000 shares.

Payment for shares should be made by bank transfer - details are on the application form.  Please get in touch if you prefer to pay another way.

The Cotherstone Old Chapel Project Limited is a Community Benefit Society registered with the Financial Conduct Authority under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. Registration no. 8650.

Every Home Has a Story

Discover the History of Cotherstone – One House at a Time

We’re building a digital archive of Cotherstone’s homes, past and present – from who lived where to the stories hidden in the bricks. Inspired by projects like Meldreth History, our aim is to honour every corner of the village.

Got a story about your home? We’d love to hear it.
